Homepage Customization
Design your storefront homepage with a live preview, adjusting layout, content, and translations easily.
Customize Your Homepage
The NovaStores Homepage Editor provides a visual way to manage your store's most important page. You can rearrange sections, edit content, and translate text, all with a live preview of your storefront.
Accessing the Editor
- From your NovaStores dashboard, go to Theme Editor.
- The editor will open with your homepage on the right, showing a live preview, and the configuration panel on the left.
Managing Homepage Sections
Your homepage is made up of different content sections (e.g., Hero Banner, Product Grid, Testimonials). In the left panel:
- Expand/Collapse Sections: Click on any section header (like "Hero Banner") to expand its settings and see editable fields. Click again to collapse it.
- Reorder Sections: Use the up and down arrow buttons next to a section's title to move it higher or lower on your homepage.
- Hide/Show Sections: Click the eye icon next to a section's title to toggle its visibility. A crossed-out eye means the section is hidden from your customers.
Editing Content and Translations
Each expanded section contains fields for content and translations:
- Select Language: Use the "Editing Language" dropdown at the top of the left panel to choose which language you are working on.
- Edit Data Fields: Under the "Data" heading, you'll find fields for numbers, settings, or choices specific to that section (e.g., number of products to display, review mode). Type or select your desired values.
- Edit Text and Media: Under the "Translations" heading, you can edit all text content for the selected language. For image fields, click "Change Image" to open your media library, upload new files, or use a direct URL. For link fields, you can type a URL or double-click the input to browse your store's products and categories for quick linking.
Saving Your Changes
As you make changes, an "Unsaved Edits" bar will appear at the top of the page:
- Click the Save Changes button in the top bar to apply all your modifications to your live storefront.
- To undo all unsaved changes, click Discard in the same bar. You will be asked to confirm this action.
Your changes are published instantly after saving, ensuring your customers always see the latest version of your homepage.
