Amazon Product & Review Importer
Effortlessly add products and their customer reviews from Amazon to your store.
Introduction
The NovaStores Amazon Importer add-on for Chrome lets you quickly add products and customer reviews directly from Amazon to your store.
This feature is available on Creator, Amplify, and Nexus plans. If you are on the Spark plan, the "Get Extension" button will be greyed out.
Installing the Add-on
Install it in one click: Get the NovaStores Importer for Chrome. It opens in a new tab, so this page stays where it is.
- Go to your NovaStores dashboard.
- On the dashboard, find the "Amazon Importer" card. It has an amber icon.
- Click the "Get Extension" button — or install it straight from here: Get the NovaStores Importer for Chrome (opens in a new tab).
- Add the "NovaStores Importer" to your Chrome browser.
- After installation, ensure you are signed in to your NovaStores dashboard in the same browser. The add-on needs to know which store to import into.
Importing a Product
- Open a product's page on any supported Amazon website (.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .it, .es, .ca, .com.au, .in, .co.jp, .com.br, .com.mx, .sa). The "Import" tab will appear on the right side of your browser window.
- Click the "Import" tab to open the NovaStores Importer panel.
- If you have multiple stores, check the "Active Workspace" at the bottom of the panel to ensure the correct store is selected.
- Click the "Import Product" button.
- The product's name, pictures, description, features, and price will be added to your NovaStores catalog.
- After importing, open your products list and confirm the price and stock level. Stock is automatically set to 50 for immediate selling, and a placeholder price of $10.00 is used if Amazon's price cannot be read.
Importing Reviews
- On the same Amazon product page, open the "Import" tab again.
- In the "Target Product" search box, type the name of the product you want to add reviews to. This can be a newly imported product or an existing product in your store.
- Select your product from the search results.
- Choose the "Amount of Reviews" (up to 100) and your preferred "Review Filter" (e.g., "5 Star First").
- To import more than 10 reviews, you must be signed in to your Amazon account in the same browser.
- Click "Import Reviews". The reviews will appear in your store's Reviews section, dated as they were originally written on Amazon, and marked as "Amazon" source.
- Re-importing reviews for the same product is safe and will not create duplicates.
Troubleshooting
"Authentication Required": If the panel shows this, open your NovaStores dashboard at novastores.ai in the same browser and sign in. Then reopen the Importer panel. "Import" tab not visible: Ensure you are on a specific Amazon product page, not a search results or category page. If the page was open before the add-on was installed, refresh it. Supported Countries: The add-on works on Amazon sites for US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, Australia, India, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia.
