Managing Product Options, Pricing, and Images
NovaStores allows you to create flexible product options like size, color, or material, and then set unique prices and images for each variant (combination of options). This guide walks you through the process.
1. Create a New Product (or Edit an Existing One)
Start by either creating a new product or opening an existing one for editing.
- From your dashboard, navigate to Products.
- Click the New Product button or select an existing product from the list and click Edit.
2. Define Basic Product Information and Main Images
On the Basic tab, fill in the core details for your product.
- Enter the Product Name and Base Price.
- Set the Status to
Active. - Add at least one main product image using the gallery or by pasting a URL.
3. Configure Options and Values
Switch to the Options & images tab to define your product's configurable attributes.
- Click + Create Option.
- In the 'Option Name' field, type the name of your option (e.g.,
Weight). - Under 'Value Name', enter the first value (e.g.,
5kg). - To add more values, click + Append Value to [Option Name] (e.g.,
+ Append Value to Weight). - Enter each additional value (e.g.,
10kg,20kg).
4. Adjust Prices per Option Value
You can set a price adjustment for each specific option value.
- Next to an option value (e.g.,
10kg), click the Price ± button. - In the modal, enter the Amount to add or subtract from the base price for this value (e.g.,
15for10kg). - Click Save.
- Repeat for other values (e.g., enter
40for20kg).
5. Generate and Manage Product Variants
Move to the Inventory tab to generate all possible variant combinations and manage their details.
- Click the Inventory tab.
- Click Run Generator to create all variants based on your defined options and values.
- In the 'Variant Registry' table, you'll see a row for each variant (e.g.,
Weight | 5kg).
6. Set Stock Levels and Variant-Specific Images
For each variant, you can define its stock and assign unique images.
- In the variant's row, enter the Stock quantity.
- Click the Assets button (pencil icon) to open the variant image modal.
- In the modal, paste an image URL into the
Add by URLfield or choose from your gallery. - Click Add, then Close.
- Repeat these steps for all your variants, ensuring each has its correct stock and a distinct image.
7. Save Your Changes
Once all your options, prices, and variant details are configured, save your product.
- Click the Back button in the product editor header.
- A dialog will appear prompting you to save. Click Save & Switch (or Save Changes if already on the product list).
